Beijing’s attitude to help Pakistan in the long run

Islamabad: [May 23]
The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Sunday said Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s visit to steadfast partner China has made it clear that Beijing wants us to do more to become self-reliant.

Chinese reluctance to provide cash support has not only brought limits of Beijing’s cooperation to the limelight but also given message that they are eager to help Pakistan to stand on its own two feet, it said.

It is time to realise that no country can offer unlimited charity and we should not always try to get more out of trusted friends, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President, PEW.
