Islamabad:
The staff as well as union of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) struggling to cleanse the institution of corrupt and politically motivate bankers have challenged the appointment of acting president Qamar Hussain citing blatant violation of rules, regulations and the recent judgement of the Supreme Court which paved the way for removal of former president and CEO Ali Raza.
Mir Muhammad Idrees, the one who challenged the appointment of Ali Raza and got him ousted has again invoked the Supreme Court saying that neither the laws nor the SC’s latest judgment have been followed in appointing Qamar as acting president.
